Wednesday Words: Keep Your Soul Diligently (Week 20)

“Take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children’s children—”
~Deuteronomy 4:9

Motherhood starts at conception.  For some it is an easy personal journey and for others a longer road.  Some wait in anticipation of labor while others wait for the phone call to say they have been chosen.

Regardless of how we come to be a mom, conception is the moment it starts for us. God prepares our hearts for that moment and the many moments that come afterwards.

He urges us, like He urged the Israelites, to “keep our souls diligently”. Let us not forget that we were created by perfect hands.  Do not forget the moment of conception when God called gifted this child to your family.

Take a moment at this half way mark to remember conception. For it is at that moment that God chose YOU!

Mom Tip: It’s time for another date night!  Celebrate, with your husband or a girlfriend, making it to the halfway point in pregnancy!

To make it extra special I’d challenge you to make a list.  10 memories that have already been made during the 1st half of pregnancy and 10 hopes you have for the 2nd half of pregnancy!  HAVE FUN!
