“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.
but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;” (Isaiah 40:28-31)
If you have a baby calendar or are following your baby’s growth on a blog or in a book I’m sure you’ve read that your baby is about the size of a fig, he/she is growing and you are experiencing bursts of energy.
Yep, THIS is a burst of energy. You might still be sick to your stomach (literally or figuratively), still holding onto the news and overall just finding your stride in this new world of pregnancy and impending motherhood.
Bursts of energy feel few and far between but know they are coming. Maybe not in the form of physical energy but God is preparing you to have the emotional energy to be a mom. Your strength is more than making it past dinner before heading to bed. It is the internal capacity to love, nurture and care for the child coming into your life.
Know that God will provide the strength you need to be the mom you already are!
Mom Tip: Put up your feet. Renew your physical strength by asking your husband for a foot rub and pulling out your most comfy shoes anytime you have to go out and about. Your feet will thank you for it 🙂
